Staff discounts & rewards

We regularly look for opportunities to negotiate with our suppliers for our staff to be able to access discounts (on production of your staff identity card). This means you get the benefit of our purchasing power. Currently discounts include:

  • Special interest rates on home and personal loans, higher interest rates on term deposits and investments rates, and free transactions to your savings account – all at the ANZ Bank
     

  • From time to time, special offers from local Tourism operators such as opportunities to stay at resorts on special occasions at a discounted rate.

Share Schemes

VodafoneShare is your chance to buy discounted shares in Vodafone. It works like this: you save from as little as £5 per month up to a maximum of £375 per month. At the end of the plan (three or five years) you can use your savings to buy discounted shares. If you need access to your savings before this, you can, but you’ll lose the option to buy shares.

Pension and Life Insurance

Our pension scheme is what’s known as ‘salary sacrifice’, so will come out of your salary each month. You can make a contribution from your salary up to 5%. Vodafone will double your contribution, so the maximum including our contribution is 10%.

You are also automatically covered for income protection (50% of salary). You can also access critical illness and partner critical illness as additional options through our flexible benefits package.

500MB Add-on

This addon gives you an extra 500MB of DATA to use until the end of this month. Excess rate charges are applicable when exceeding either your CAP or Data Addon.

Rewards and recognition

A minimum hourly rate that is above that of the Cook Islands minimum rate and that is reviewed on an annual basis. Market related remuneration that recognises the specialist technical skills that many of our staff have.
An annual review of your performance with increases in salary and/or bonus payments based on your performance. 
Staff recognition – every quarter we recognise staff (either individuals or teams) who have either demonstrated outstanding customer service or who have made a significant contribution to improving the way we do our business. Recognition may be given in a number of ways e.g. special recognition from the Executive, cash payments, vouchers etc.

Getting Fit and Staying Healthy

 

We support our staff to develop a healthy and well balanced life style through a range of opportunities to participate in sporting and lifestyle activities.
We:

  • have a staff gym available to all our Rarotonga based staff to use
     

  • encourage and sponsor staff to participate in a range of sporting events e.g. Corporate Vaka, Business House Golf, indoor netball, volleyball.

VIP Access

One of the benefits of our Sponsorship Programme is that we aim to secure free tickets to the events we sponsor such as Te Maeve Nui and the Rugby 7’s. We distribute these tickets to staff by way of special draws or fun staff competitions.
