Retail Sales Team Lead (Connected Living)

About Us

  • Vodafone Cook Islands is looking for a driven, commercially focused leader to join our team as Retail Sales Team Lead - Connected Living based in our Avarua retail store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop the Retail Sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.

  • Set clear individual and team goals, monitor performance and provide regular coaching and feedback.

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase store traffic, conversion rates and average transaction value.

  • Monitor daily sales performance and establish weekly targets to achieve monthly revenue goals.

  • Analyse sales results, customer preferences and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.

  • Build strong relationships with customers, local businesses, suppliers and business partners.

  • Plan and deliver in-store promotions, seasonal campaigns, discounts and product offers in collaboration with our Commercial and Marketing teams.

  • Drive sales of Business Enterprise solutions, including identifying leads and working with our Key Client Sales team.

  • Manage product procurement and inventory across devices, accessories, smart-home products and appliances.

  • Identify and source new products that offer customers quality and value for money.

  • Oversee stocktakes, inventory accuracy, pricing, merchandising and the management of slow-moving stock.

  • Manage daily store operations and ensure compliance with Vodafone’s policies, procedures and financial requirements.

  • Prepare regular sales, stock, operational and financial reports for management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential: NCEA 3 Level pass. Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales / Retail related field.

  • 2 to 5 years sales experience; preferably in the telecommunications field.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite products, spreadsheets and data collection and analysis.

  • Proven experience leading a retail, sales or customer service team.

  • A strong commercial mindset and a track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs.

  • Excellent leadership, coaching and team-development skills.

  • Experience managing stock, purchasing, suppliers and inventory.

  • Confidence analysing sales data and using insights to improve performance.

  • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Brand Growth

  • Plan, develop, and execute digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a similar discipline (preferred).

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and content creation.

  • Experience managing websites and content management systems (CMS).

  • Skills in graphic design, photography, videography, and video editing (highly desirable).

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Services

  • Complete scheduled maintenance and record data accurately.

  • Safely carry out projects and renovations with a high-quality finish.

  • Assist with power usage monitoring and electrical fault finding/repairs.

  • Maintain, clean, and store tools in good working order.

Operations Support

  • Support operational teams such as RADSAT and Fixed Network.

Estates Services

  • Perform maintenance and renovations safely and on schedule.

  • Keep workplaces, storerooms, and vehicles clean and tidy.

  • Clear rubbish bins and cages weekly.

  • Ensure tools are cleaned, checked, and properly stored.

Fleet Vehicles

  • Conduct weekly checks on vehicle WOF, registration, servicing, and damage.

  • Book and deliver vehicles for servicing as needed.

Security & Alarm Services

  • Test and retest alarm systems regularly; fix faults promptly.

Qualifications & Experience

  • NCEA Level 1 (essential)
