How it works

Customers must register for the service at any of our Vodafone Outlets and then deposit cash in exchange for E-Moni. Customers can then send money to their family or friends throughout the country.
Once they have registered, all transactions are completed securely by entering a 4 digit PIN number. Both parties will receive an SMS confirming the amount that has been transferred.
The recipient will receive E-Moni in real-time and then redeems it for cash by visiting their nearest Vodafone E-Moni Agent.

How to Register for E-Moni

Visit any of our Vodafone Outlets to register. Bring at least one of the following ID: Passport, Drivers License or Birth Certificate and ensure these are valid during time of registration.
See any of our Vodafone Team
to start the registration process.

Once registration is completed,
download and install the E-Moni App
via QR code onto your mobile device.
Enter your mobile number 682***** to begin activation process. Enter your 4-digit activation code and reset your 4 digit PIN.

Your account has been activated.
Enter your OTP passcode sent via SMS to start using E-Moni Services.
Don't forget to top up your E-Moni value if you wish to continue using this service.

How to Top Up E-Moni value - Visit our Vodafone Customer Centre
To top up your E-Moni account in person, please follow the steps below:

Visit our Vodafone Customer Care center.

Request to top up your E-Moni account.
-
Provide your mobile phone number to the customer service agent.
-
Make a deposit for the amount you wish to add to your E-Moni balance.

You will receive an SMS notification confirming your transaction.
Note: There is no fee when making a deposit through Vodafone Customer Care.
Please ensure that your E-Moni balance is sufficient to cover any transactions and associated fees before proceeding with any
E-Moni services.
To view your transaction history, open the E-Moni App and navigate to History, located at the bottom right corner of the screen.
How to Top Up E-Moni value - Online Bank Transfer
If you are a BSP customer, you can conveniently transfer funds to your E-Moni account using the BSP Bill Pay service.
To do so, please follow the steps below:

Log in to your BSP banking platform and select Bill Pay.

Choose VODAFONE EMONI as the biller.

Enter your mobile number, including the country code (e.g., 682xxxxxx).

Specify the amount you wish to transfer.
-
Funds will be credited to your E-Moni account on the next business day.
Please note: Only mobile numbers that are registered for E-Moni can be used for this service.
How to Top Up E-Moni value - Online Recharge
To recharge your E-Moni account online, please follow the steps below:

Visit www.recharge.vodafone.co.ck.

Log in to your account using your credentials.

Select the E-Moni option from the available services.
-
Enter your mobile number and the amount you wish to top up.
-
Provide your card details and click on Pay Now to complete the transaction.

Upon successful completion, you will receive an email confirmation.

You will also receive an SMS notification from E-Moni once your balance has been updated.

How to buy recharge
To recharge a prepaid mobile number registered with E-Moni, please follow the steps below:

Open the E-Moni App and select the Recharge option.

Enter the dollar amount you wish to recharge.
-
Input the mobile number you would like to recharge, starting with the country code (e.g., 682xxxxx).

Confirm the payment by entering your 4-digit E-Moni PIN.

Upon successful completion, you will receive a confirming your recharge transaction.

The recipient will also receive a notification confirming the top-up.
How to Send Money
To send money to another mobile number using the E-Moni app, please follow the steps below:

Open the E-Moni App and select the Send Money option.

Enter the dollar amount you wish to send.
-
Input the recipient’s mobile number, beginning with the country code (e.g., 682xxxxx).

Confirm the payment by entering your 4-digit E-Moni PIN.
-
Once the transaction is successfully completed, both you and the recipient will receive a notification confirming the transfer.
Please note: The recipient does not need to be registered with E-Moni to receive funds. However, you must be registered with E-Moni to send money using this service.
How to Withdraw Money
Unregistered Customers

You will receive a notification confirming the amount of money received.

Visit the Vodafone Customer Care Centre.

Present the confirmation text along with a valid form of identification.

Confirm the amount you wish to withdraw (Note: unregistered users must withdraw the full amount received).

Enter your 4-digit E-Moni PIN to authorize the transaction.
Important Notes:

Unregistered E-Moni numbers can only receive up to $500.
-
The full amount received must be withdrawn; partial withdrawals are not permitted for unregistered users.
Registered Customers

Visit the Vodafone Customer Care Centre.
-
Ensure your E-Moni account has sufficient balance for the withdrawal and the fee.
-
Provide a valid form of identification.
-
Specify the amount you wish to withdraw.
-
Enter your 4-digit E-Moni PIN to confirm the transaction.

Receive your cash from the agent.
Important Notes:

Any remaining balance will be retained in your E-Moni account.
-
Registered customers may hold up to $10,000 in their E-Moni account.
-
There is a transaction limit of $1,000 per withdrawal or deposit, with a daily maximum of $2,000.
How to Pay Your Postpay bill
To make a payment towards your Vodafone Postpay account using the E-Moni app, please follow the steps below:

Open the E-Moni App and select the Postpay option.

Enter the dollar amount you wish to pay.
-
Input your Vodafone customer number (as shown on your phone bill statement, e.g., CN00001).
-
Confirm the payment by entering your 4-digit E-Moni PIN.
-
You will receive a notification confirming your transaction once it has been successfully processed.
Note: Your customer number is also referred to as your account number and can be found on your Vodafone phone bill statement.
