Rarotonga, Cook Islands – 18 June 2025 — Vodafone Cook Islands has today announced the official launch of ‘TXT to Support’, a nationwide fundraising campaign to help raise funds for the 14 Cook Islands teams set to compete at Te Maeva Nui 2025, the country’s largest cultural celebration taking place this July.

Vodafone customers can simply text the word “Support” to 942, with each text costing $2. Every text not only contributes directly to the participating teams but also enters the customer into the draw to win an Ultimate Connected Living and Lifestyle Prize Package, valued at over $10,000.

One lucky entrant will take home a high-end tech and lifestyle upgrade, which includes:

  • Samsung 55” The Frame Smart TV, a stunning display that doubles as art when not in use

  • Samsung Q700D Sound Bar, delivering powerful surround sound

  • Samsung Bespoke AI Washer and Dryer duo, for a sleek, smart laundry upgrade

  • Samsung Galaxy A56 smartphone

  • Samsung Galaxy Watch6, combining health tracking and style

  • Samsung Galaxy Buds3, for crisp, on-the-go audio

The campaign runs until 21 July 2025, and all proceeds will be evenly distributed across the 14 teams traveling to Rarotonga to perform and compete during Te Maeva Nui’s 60th anniversary.

“Te Maeva Nui is one of the most important celebrations for the Cook Islands,” said Bonnie Emile, Marketing Manager at Vodafone Cook Islands. “Rather than just placing our logo on a banner, we wanted to go deeper – to actively support the teams and make it easy for our customers to show their support too.”

She adds, “This fundraising initiative allows people to contribute in a small way, go in the draw to win a huge prize, and play a part in helping our teams shine as they come together to perform and compete on this special 60th anniversary year.”

Entry Details:

  • Text “Support” to 942 to enter the prize draw

  • Each text costs $2, charged to the Vodafone billpayer

  • Open to Vodafone Cook Islands postpay and prepay customers

  • Customers may enter as many times as they like

  • Terms and conditions apply – visit vodafone.co.ck for more

  • Entries close 21 July 2025

The ‘TXT to Support’ campaign is part of Vodafone’s wider sponsorship of Te Maeva Nui 2025, reinforcing the company’s long-standing support for Cook Islands communities, culture, and creativity.
